CHASE MARSHALL CELEBRATES MADELINE’S LICENSURE

June 2026

Chase Marshall is proud to announce that Madeline Higginbotham has successfully completed the Architect Registration Examination (ARE), fulfilled thousands of hours of required professional practice, and is now licensed to practice architecture in Louisiana.

The ARE is a rigorous, multi-part examination that confirms an architect’s readiness to serve the public responsibly. Passing it demonstrates the professional competency expected of a licensed architect, from technical knowledge to sound, ethical practice.

A native of Crowley, Madeline graduated from University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies, then went on to attain a Master of Architecture in 2023.  She interned with Chase Marshall before officially joining the team after graduation. Since then, she has become an integral part of our team, bringing deliberate, passionate, and reliable professionalism to every project she touches.

Passing the ARE demonstrates the professional competency required to become a licensed architect and serve the public responsibly.

"I have watched Madeline grow tremendously over her time with us," said Jay Chase, AIA, principal at Chase Marshall Architects. "Her dedication, curiosity, and care for the craft show in everything she does. She is a true asset to the CMA team, and earning her license is a well-deserved recognition of her hard work."
