Jonathan believes in community engaged design. Through numerous projects with the LSU Office of Community Design and Development, Jonathan developed a passion for projects that focus on the public good. He was a member of the LSU/UNO/DePaul University team that won the Chase Community Development Competition, securing a $25,000 grant to bring a fresh food grocery to the Lower Ninth Ward in 2009. While at the University of Michigan, Jonathan was part of a team that won a Progressive Architecture award for a planning process for Project Reach in New York that used workshops geared to children to engage them in the process of design. Since graduating, Jonathan has practiced at firms committed to design excellence in places where quality design work will have real and lasting consequences to those communities.
